Anna and Alex met and fell in love in New York. But that’s just a small snippet of their big story. Throughout their lives and their relationship, they have lived all around the world. Seattle and New York and Los Angeles and Mexico and Spain and San Francisco and lots of pretty places in between. In fact, as a little girl, it was on a trip to Mexico with her father that Anna fell in love with an entire country. The beauty, the language, the culture. Everything. She soaked up all she could from her time there and vowed one way or another to return. Little did she know she would eventually find her way back, this time to make a different kind of vow.
Anna and Alex exchanged heartfelt promises in a place they both love, Mexico. At The Hacienda de Cortes in Cuernavaca, Morelos, they promised to be lifelong globe-trekking partners. To build a home in every city they decide to live in. To do everything in their power to fulfill one another’s hopes and dreams. In Anna, Alex had found the greatest treasure in all of his travels – her heart. It was a wildly perfect night and just the beginning of what I know will be an adventurous love.
Anna and Alex – my heart is full. Thank you, thank you, thank you for leaving your mark. Steven and I are grateful to know you. 😉
The day was designed and coordinated by Valerya from CREA Eventos, and let me just say if you’re getting married in Mexico, this woman is a genius!
Anna wore a beautiful gown by Alvina Valenta and super sparkly Vera Wang shoes. She also made her hair flower. So crafty! Alex wore a kick-ass suit by Theory. Seriously, I was kinda jealous. The Hacienda de Cortes proved to be one of the most stunning venues I’ve ever set my eyes on. Steven ran all the way around the huge grounds of the Hacienda to grab this shot from above. Love! The team from CREA Eventos thrifted, painted and hung these birdcages within the large tree. It was the most stunning sight and really, photographs don’t do it justice! The papel picado cake by Moxy blew me away. How adorable are the name flags? After the ceremony, Anna & Alex joined their guests with a surprise entourage of mariachis. It was such a fun and lively entrance to see! 2 DJ’s kept the dance floor packed all night! I heard people stayed and danced until 3:00 in the morning. Talk about a paaaaaaaar-tay!
