Since the inception of this blog, I’ve shared my life. I’ve shared my thoughts. I’ve shared my love. I’d be lying, though, if I said I shared everything that is close to my heart. Today, putting this wedding out there, makes me feel like I’m sharing a super special, intimate part of my life. These are MY friends. These are MY people. The ones I spend time with. People I love. People that are so close to me that I no longer call them friends, I consider them family.
You’ve probably seen Lauren’s name before. I’ve worked on several weddings with her and she was the talent behind my own wedding hair and makeup. She’s a true star and one of the most genuinely kind girls I’ve ever met. Her sister Vanessa (BANI!!) is one of my nearest and dearest. When we became friends over 10 years ago, I didn’t realize I wasn’t just getting a friend, I was getting an entire family. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to build my own relationship with Lauren and just like everyone else she meets, it’s a friendship I cherish. I wanted to share a few lines from Vanessa’s maid of honor speech because when it comes to Lauren, she put it best:
“Lauren, even though I am the big sister, YOU teach me. You teach me how to be the kindest & most giving person because you really have the kindest soul. You teach me how to have a backbone, and how to save a few extra pennies. You teach me how to be a better me, to always strive for the best. You teach me to live life to the fullest and to do it with style and class. Because you, my little sister, are the epitome of both style AND class.”
Lauren & Ariann – I’m so happy I was able to capture your memories. Your perfect day. Watching your relationship grow throughout the years has been so fun and I’m blessed to have witnessed your love move on to the next step. I wish you both lots of love, health and happiness as you enter your new lives as Mr. & Mrs. Partida. Congratulations! xoxo
** A HUGE thank you to Marissa Rodriguez for all of her hard work shooting this wedding. I seriously could not have done any of it without her! If you’re getting married in San Diego, stop waiting! She’s a gem!
Since Lauren is in the stylist industry, it was no surprise she had a dream team getting her and the bridesmaids ready. Huge thanks to Elizabeth Cedillo, Andrea Jaclyn and Alexis Kuykendall for all their work!
Lauren let each of her bridesmaids design their own dress. OBSESSED with this idea! Brides: take note! 😉 Lauren had Ariann by her side and his photo of his late father in her arms. So sweet. These two little love muffins, Gavin & Noelle, were in their mama’s tummies at Steven and my wedding. Here they are two years later practically stealing the show!!As Lauren entered Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, the bright light made her glow. It was perfect! We roamed the beautiful grounds of The Grand Newport Plaza for photos. Again, obsessed with the styling of all the girls!
