Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the future. About the relationship between a mother and her child. The way a mother talks to her child, cares for her child. The way a mother makes her child laugh and how she brings a certain comfort no one else can. I cherish every breath my mother takes and even now, in my adult age, she’s the only one that can put me at ease the way she does. As I get closer to having a child of my own*, I look back and wish I had photographs of those moments of her and I laughing around the house. The moments when nothing was going on, it was just us being us. I feel like I have to remind myself to photograph memories like these so my kids will have tangible memories they can look back on and smile. That’s the reason these photographs of my dear friend Sandra and her sweet girl Noelle are so near to my heart. Just in time for Mother’s Day.

*NO, I’m not pregnant and won’t be anytime soon. Just a reflection.
