It’s about dang time I blogged one of my favorite weddings of 2011. Silvia and Bryan’s wedding was one of those holy crap, YOU MADE THIS YOURSELF? type of days. Bryan built the arch they married under and Silvia added her touch by hanging bright ribbon from it. She printed and gold-paint-dipped the thank you/menu cards that were placed at each place setting as well as staining the table numbers. They potted succulent plants to double as escort cards and favors. Bryan found the cake stump on a slope near their house, hauled it back to their place and cut it to size, polyurethaned it and carved their initials on it. I mean, you name it and they probably stayed up later than they should have making it. It’s no wonder their wedding was featured on the amazing 100 Layer Cake blog a few weeks ago.
As if the gorgeous hand-crafted wedding wasn’t enough, Silvia and Bryan are some of the most kick-ass clients around – shots, curse words, crazy dancing and bear-hug style hugs all around. I loved them and feel so lucky we found each other!!
