I adore the holiday season. Absolutely adore! It’s when the rain falls and the big coats come out, the scarves are thrown around our necks and big thick socks snuggle our toes inside our new leather boots. It’s when the air smells of cinnamon and pine from the tree lots on every corner. It’s when entire streets light up and sparkle from the twinkling lights proudly displayed on homes. It’s when families gather in the warmth of a familiar home, singing Christmas carols until your eyes roll and filling up on all the bear hugs and snuggles you missed out on over the busy year. It’s just, well, my favorite.
For our holiday cards, I wanted to bring that same warm, sweet cinnamon smell, snuggling type of feel. If you read my what it feels like post though, then you know life happened and I just had to roll with the punches and hoped that we got at least one photo we could use. And you know what? This photo, it’s so US! I don’t even need to describe it, it just defines our crazy lives and our fun-loving relationship. So although there aren’t warm coats, Christmas trees or even snuggling, my hope is that when you opened the card, you felt like we gave you a big ol’ bear hug. Cortez style.
Here are a few more images my sweet friend Megan took.
