The tears flowed. And she hadn’t even stepped into her dress yet. “I think we’re going to need A LOT of tissues today”, her bridesmaid said, “deep breaths, deep breaths.” As another bridesmaid fanned her, Vanessa breathed deep and took it all in. She didn’t have to say much, but we all knew what she was feeling. Overwhelmingly excited that the day had arrived. This day, her wedding day, was here. And she was going to marry Daniel, the boy turned man she fell in love with so long ago. Everyone in the room quickly grabbed stacks of tissues because yes, the day would be emotional. And while no one was looking, I quickly shoved some tissue in my bag too. You know, for good measure.
Throughout their wedding planning process, Vanessa and Daniel have become great friends. I have always felt a special connection with them so it’s no surprise that when we arrived to Spanish Hills for their big day, we were welcomed with open arms. Plus, being able to work with the super fabulous By Lauren is always a treat. Thank you so much for having us along for your big day. Hope you’re surfing it up in Hawaii! And just in case anyone was wondering, yes, I did use my secret tissue stash. I’m such a sap!
Click here to see more of their wedding.I love everything about this shot. The dress in the background, the bridesmaids looking on, and Vanessa beautifying her flower girls. It’s always so fun to watch the reactions of family as a bride steps into her gown. Tying up a corset is no small feat. Seriously, it takes an army!
Vanessa and Daniel’s first look was intimate and emotional. I loved it.
I don’t remember what was said here, but I’m taking all the credit for the smiles.I’m telling you, tissues all around that day!The couple had one of the most wild dance parties I’ve seen in a while. I’m talking about people ages 3-93, sweating it out on the dance floor. Fun times!
