Vinscena & Sean : Engaged

It’s that connection you make. The first impression, although not always what you dreamed it to be, is important. The feelings you get, the rush of emotion you feel, you never forget that first moment. Vinscena and Sean still laugh about their first meeting. Out for a relaxing evening with her roommate, Vinscena spotted a cute guy across the room. She smiled and before she could do what all girls do, bat her eyelashes in his general direction, it happened. The “cute guy” across the room shot her. You know, that hand as a gun, sharp shooter gesture? Yes, that. After Vinscena and her friend briefly laughed at him, she made her way towards him. A quick conversation, lots of smiles and butterflies fluttering around inside, Vinscena and Sean both knew this was something special. The first impression, the connection, was something they won’t soon forget.

This series of shots were taken in a 10-foot wide alley. I adore the 16-35mm lens. Vinscena, Sean and I chatted at their consultation and we all agreed how fun it’d be to do editorial engagement. This image screams to me! Can we all please pay attention to the styling of Vinscena & Sean? Her sequined skirt & chunky gold necklace, his suspenders & untied work boots…are you kidding me? Everywhere we wandered, the light was just stunning. This is probably one of my favorites from the day. I love the movement. While we were walking, I spotted this patch of light. I also spotted two red chairs inside the Domino’s Pizza next door. Um, you know what happened next! Scena – you, my dear, are stunning! Another favorite of the day. And another reason I just love the 16-35mm. We ended on the beach with literally seconds of sunlight left. Lots of fun and lovin’.
