Ruby & Mike : Engaged

I’ve met Mike before. I’ve known and heard of the Mike that my husband man knows. The Mike that drinks out of flasks and says that’s what she said. But I never knew Mike when Ruby was around. And although he’s still a great guy, with Ruby, he’s different. Ruby is this vibrant, funny, energetic girl. Like, the type of girl you can sit with for hours talking about, well, anything. You name it. The girl has the best conversations about Jane Austen and going out dancing with your girlfriends. She knows how to appreciate Britney Spears and appreciates a good tequila. But most of all, she loves Mike for Mike. And really, she makes him better. And I’m positive she feels the same about him. I just love his approach to relationships…everything is just so easy with him…I’ve never had that before, she said to me while Mike ran to the car. It’s so clear to see why they are so great together.

I’m thrilled to be shooting Ruby & Mike’s wedding next May. It’s sure to be a blast! Thank you both for being so awesome and fun and let’s be real, letting me gab with you about Glee. Steven just doesn’t get it! xo

I heart Ruby because she works it. Yes, I just said works it. Whatever.
I don’t know why I love wind messing up a photo. It’s so real. This is my favorite shot of the day.  We lost light so quick so we decided to head to Powell Library. It was my first time giving direction in whispers. I told Mike to pick up the green book for color. I nearly fainted while editing the photos looking at the author’s name… BROWN! That’s Mike’s last name. Ugh. I love the coincidence.
